First and foremost, our shiplap is very easy to install – much easier than the thinner, flimsy products offered in big box stores. Most important step is the first—make sure first row of shiplap is perfectly level and all studs have been identified and clearly marked down the wall. After this, it is simply place and nail.

- Level
- Tape measure
- Saw (miter saw preferred)
- Nails (any nails will work – small finish nail will give a cleaner look, larger nails add more character. Of course, you can always fill nail holes with wood filler, sand and paint or stain)
- Hammer
- Glue (recommend also applying glue when installing wider shiplap boards in addition to nailing, especially if items will be hung on shiplap)
- Finish Punch
